What do you get when you cross big adventures with a little family? You get us - Jono and Jess, the faces behind the KeenWah brand. Also in the mix are our unofficial recipe consultants and mini taste testers - our three young kids.

Like most young, busy families, we’re always looking for nutrient-dense, high energy, easy to eat food. Aaaand like most tiny humans, our kids demand deliciousness. It’s a dealbreaker. 


Enter quinoa. Even before we had kids, we knew we were onto something special. 


At some stage, we turned our passion into our work. We’ve been sourcing, importing, and supplying quinoa seeds over at Impulse International for more than ten years and are chuffed to wear the sash of Australia's largest importer of organic quinoa, ancient grains and superfoods.


We began making ready-to-eat products and started KeenWah as a side hustle at Bondi Markets. The locals loved our quinoa porridge and granola, and we loved the face to face interaction and feedback. We knew we were onto a universally good thing. 


Aside from serving KeenWah porridge up to hungry marketgoers, we’ve always eaten plenty at home. Our kids have always eaten it - it was even their very first solid food. We’re constantly messing around in the kitchen at home, and one day we decided to cold press the porridge. After our 3-year-old scoffed the lot and asked for more, we thought we might be onto something. 


Fast forward a few years, more than a few trials and plenty of errors - KeenWah MilQ is ready. It’s the first of its kind in the world…and just the beginning of what we’re dreaming up.
